Having grown up in a family-run holiday rental business, Hamish was always bound to continue on in the industry.
The family business consisted of 250 holiday rentals in the UK, and growing up in and around it means Hamish has a built-in understanding of what's required to run a successful holiday rental — the standards, the systems and the small details that separate a good stay from a great one. In addition to running holiday rentals and other roles in the tourism and hospitality industry, he was also an accredited quality inspector for the English Tourism Board – Visit England, meaning he has a true understanding of standards and requirements.
Since arriving in Australia, Hamish has continued on in the tourism and hospitality sector in a number of senior roles prior to joining the team and launching the rebranding of Experience Jervis Bay. Today his focus is on rates and revenue, making sure every property in our portfolio is positioned to perform at its best across every season.

Outside of work Hamish is an avid diver, loves to travel, and is far more than just a home cook, with some genuinely impressive culinary skills. Between family, hobbies and work, you won't often find Hamish sitting still.
