Bernie Reuben
Born and raised in the UK, I joined the Armed Forces when I was 16 and spent 4 years serving in the Royal Engineers Regiment.
At 18, I had my first introduction to real estate when I bought my first property as a rental investment.
I first visited Australia in 2016, coming out to travel and explore, which is when I fell in love with the country and knew it was the place I wanted to live. Following my holiday, I went home to earn some more money working in painting, decorating and property maintenance, with the role taking me to Dubai and the Netherlands before I resigned to move to Australia.
On moving to Australia in 2018, I continued my work in painting, decorating, property maintenance and property inspections in Sydney. In 2023, I received my permanent residency, which allowed me to buy into Australian property, an apartment in Wiley Park, Sydney, which I renovated and rented myself. While living in Sydney, I was a regular visitor to Jervis Bay and fell in love with the area.
Having worked in and around property, I always had an interest in real estate and in 2023, I decided it was now or never and completed my real estate certificate of registration. Knowing that real estate was a long-term game and having a love of Jervis Bay, I decided to make the move and find an opportunity to do my dream job in a dream location, which is exactly what happened.
In 2024, I moved to Jervis Bay, and I started a role in real estate sales, working as a sales associate, learning the ropes and building my skills to help those looking to buy and sell property in the Jervis Bay area. Establishing myself as a hardworking, likeable person, I believe real estate is built on trust, strong relationships, and keeping your word. With my background in painting, decorating and property maintenance, I have a strong understanding of property, and that, combined with my inbuilt need to help people, makes for all the skills of an agent that will help you get the outcome you are looking for.
